Literary evening "Aitmatov's influence in China"
Kyrgyz-Chinese department of OshSU held a literary evening devoted to the 93rd anniversary of the great writer Chingiz Aitmatov on "Aitmatov's influence in China."
The event participants were Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce of Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia Province Lin Jindian, Chinese expert on Chingiz Aitmatov Ren Zheng, faculty and students of the Kyrgyz-Chinese Department.
An exhibition of more than 40 books by Chyngyz Aitmatov translated into Chinese was held as part of the event.
If he were alive, Aitmatov would have turned 93 on December 12.
