National Literature Day
On December 12, Osh State University celebrated the Day of National Literature with a review competition "In the world of literature".
Doctor of Philology, Professor Gulina Zhamgyrchieva made a report at the event on "Challenges of the time in literature".
In the competition, student teams of faculties and colleges competed with creative forces at the final meeting. At the first stage, students presented performances from the works of Ch. Aitmatov and A. Osmonov. On the second, monologues of literary characters, literary reading were performed. Students' creativity was assessed by a jury headed by Honored Worker of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic, poet, writer Zinakan Pasanova.
In conclusion, the best teams and students were awarded prizes, diplomas, certificates of the mayor's office of Osh, Osh State University and 6 volumes of works by the national poet of the Kyrgyz Republic Tazagul Zakirova.
The event was organized on the initiative of the leading specialist in the state language of the Osh city administration Zuura Amirbekova and the vice-rector for the state language and social work of Osh State University Masturahan Sharipova.
