20 Government-Funded Study Places in Uzbekistan Available for Kyrgyz Citizens

Kyrgyz citizens will have the opportunity to study free of charge at higher education institutions in Uzbekistan under government-funded scholarships during the 2026–2027 academic year.

According to Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, 20 places have been allocated for Kyrgyz applicants.

The scholarship places are available in six bachelor’s degree programs. The selection of applicants will be conducted at Osh State University.

Available programs:

  • Preschool Education — 4 places
  • Computer Engineering — 4 places
  • Agronomy — 4 places
  • Water Management and Land Reclamation — 2 places
  • Ecology and Environmental Protection — 2 places
  • Civil Engineering — 4 places

Required documents:
Applicants must submit the following documents to the OshSU Admissions Office:

  • completed application form;
  • copy of a school certificate or diploma;
  • copy of a national passport or international passport;
  • medical certificate in the prescribed form for university admission;
  • six color photographs, 3.5 × 4.5 cm, in JPEG format.

Admission procedure:

Applicants must have a good command of the language of instruction they choose and take examinations in two specialized subjects. The results will be assessed on a five-point grading scale.

Applicants choosing Uzbek as the language of instruction must be familiar with the Latin alphabet, as classes will be conducted in Uzbek using the Latin script.

The medical certificate must be issued no earlier than two weeks before the applicant’s planned entry into Uzbekistan.

Documents will be accepted until August 22 at the OshSU main building, located at 331 Alymbek Datka Street, Osh (Admissions Office, Room 137).

The entrance examination will begin on August 24 at 08:00.
