Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov, the rector of OshSU, and professor Choi Byung-Wook, the rector of South Korea's Hanbat National University, signed a memorandum of collaboration.

It was mentioned that the cooperation relations between the two partner educational institutions have been going on for a long time and that future plans included a double diploma, combined educational initiatives, academic mobility, and research collaboration.

In May 2020, the two academic institutions electronically signed an agreement of collaboration. Twelve Osh State University students who majored in oriental studies traveled to Hanbat National University for six months and a year over the course of two years. Five additional students are now putting their papers together.

One of South Korea's top 10 universities is Hanbat National University.

An important factor in the success of this cooperation was Nursultan Altybayev, a graduate of the Osh State University's Faculty of Business and Management. He holds degrees in both the bachelor's and master's programs at Hanbat National University, and he currently oversees a special training facility that sends trainees to South Korean colleges.

The activity was part of the meeting that was held at the Ministry of Education and Science.
