The Osh State University volleyball team played exceptionally well at the Central Asian Volleyball Challenge Cup

Kyrgyzstan's volleyball squad won the Central Asian Challenge Cup. Omurbek Zhunusov and Nurbek Kozhomberdiev, players for the club "Osh State University," shown exceptional play for the national squad. Omurbek Zhunusov was recognized as the best player of the cup.


Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov, the rector, met with the athletes. At the meeting, the university president acknowledged the guys' contributions to the growth of collegiate athletics, wished them continued success in upholding Osh State University's sports prestige, and gave cash awards to volleyball players. Omurbek Zhunusov is a teacher at the Faculty of Physical Education, Nurbek Kozhomberdiev, a student at the faculty and a young player for the Kyrgyz Republic's national volleyball team.

The national teams of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan competed in the Volleyball Challenge Cup of Central Asia, which took place in Bishkek from July 23 to 27.
