OshSU student played the main part in the Kubat Biy spectacle

The Sultan Ibraimov National Drama Theater in Osh hosted a performance of the 18th-century-themed play "Kubat Biy" on November 14. The main character was portrayed by Samat Akbarali uulu, an Osh State University film academy student. Adilet Ibraimov, a student, played the part of Abyke, Kutman Sharshentegin, a professor, played the part of Erdene biy, and Eshenkul Boronbaev, an honored artist of the Kyrgyz Republic, played the part of the craftsman. The performance was staged by the People's Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic, director Talant Apyev.

The battle of Kubat Biy from the Kushchu tribe against the 18th-century conquerors of the Dzungar Khanate is the subject of S. Zhetimishov's play “Kubat Biy”. Kubat Biy fostered the unity of the Kyrgyz in the Fergana and Kashkar valleys, leaving a lasting impression on Kyrgyz history as an excellent leader.

Schoolchildren and students from OshSU attended the performance. According to Sabyr Arstanov, dean of the Faculty of Oriental Sciences and History at Osh State University, the game not only awakens patriotism in young people but also informs them about historical events and personalities.
