Kyrgyz songs performed by foreign students
The Osh National Drama Theater hosted the Second Republican Festival “Kyrgyz songs performed by foreign students”, organized by Osh State University, dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of the adoption of the law on the state language. The annual festival is held on the initiative of the National Commission on the State Language and Language Policy under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and the International Higher School of Medicine.
The event was attended by the chairman of the National Commission Kanybek Osmonaliev, the head of the profile sector for the development of the state language of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic Gulnara Ibraimova, the consultant of the deputy of the Parliament of Kyrgyz Republic Saltanat Amanova, the head of the department of the National Commission Almagul Telekmanova, rectors, vice-rectors for the state language of universities, teachers and students.
8 university teams with foreign students performed Kyrgyz songs at the festival.
According to the results of the festival, the team “Muras” of the International Medical Faculty of Osh State University, won the grand prix and a cash prize of 100,000 soms. Teams with following prizes received certificates of achievement and monetary awards totaling 50,000, 30,000, and 20,000 soms, respectively. The remaining contestants also received 10,000 soms in incentive prizes. The rewards were sponsored by Osh State University’s partner, WCI.
The cup of the festival “Kyrgyz songs performed by foreign students” was handed over by the rector of Osh State University Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov to the next organizer of the event, Musaev A.I., the rector of Bishkek State University named after. K. Karasaev.
