On 3 November, Osh State University took a monumental step towards enhancing media education and production in Kyrgyzstan. The university's rector, Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov, and the head of the National Television and Radio Corporation Bolotbek Tillebaev, came together to sign a bilateral cooperation agreement. This landmark agreement aims to foster collaboration between academia and media professionals, providing an unique platform for students to gain hands-on experience and develop essential skills in the field of journalism.

NTRC has a long history of collaborating with educational institutions throughout the country, and this partnership with OshSU promises to be mutually beneficial. Discussions between the university's leadership and NTRC had been ongoing, centering around ways to strengthen the preparation of future media specialists and the establishment of a shared production studio.

Under the terms of the agreement, OshSU has committed to revitalizing the studio space, creating stunning sets, installing cutting-edge screens, and equipping the studio with state-of-the-art lighting equipment. In return, NTRC will provide the studio with the necessary video technology and support its operational functions. This symbiotic relationship between academia and the media industry is poised to create an innovative, dynamic environment for aspiring journalists and media professionals.

The new studio, NTRC-Osh, holds immense promise in terms of content creation and media production. It will serve as a hub for the development of news broadcasts, current affairs programs, and engaging talk shows. Additionally, it will double as a learning and production center for journalism students at OshSU, offering them the opportunity to receive practical training and develop professional competencies.

This collaboration will undoubtedly bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world experience. Students at OshSU's journalism department will gain access to cutting-edge technology and resources to help them hone their skills and develop a deep understanding of the media landscape. This hands-on experience will prepare them to excel in the competitive world of journalism, where practical expertise is highly valued.
