Zarina Apysheva, a 4th-year student of the Faculty of Russian Philology at Osh State University, became the winner of the pedagogical excellence competition for Russian and foreign students who aspire to become teachers of the Russian language abroad. The competition was initiated by the Center for International Cooperation of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation and took place from September 14 to November 3, 2023.
The competition consisted of three stages. Out of 260 students representing 35 universities from Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Bulgaria, the Central African Republic, and Russia, 30 students, including two students from the Faculty of Russian Philology, Zarina Apysheva and Tansuluu Ergesheva, advanced to the final stage. These two students had undergone an internship at the International School "Interdom" named after E.D. Stasova in the city of Ivanovo. They participated in masterclasses, seminars, lesson planning, and the teaching process under the guidance of mentors and attended lectures on the methodology of teaching Russian as a foreign language.
During the final scientific-practical conference, the names of five competition winners were announced, and Zarina Apysheva rightfully earned her place among them.
The competition participants had the opportunity to work with leading Russian educators, methodologists, and authors of Russian language textbooks. Our students gained valuable experience by taking part in this international competition of pedagogical excellence.
