The winter school “Perspectives and Modernization of Social Work in Kyrgyzstan: Human Resources Policy and Practice,” organized by the Department of Social Work at Osh State University in collaboration with the Association of Schools of Social Work in Kyrgyzstan, has recently concluded.
Over three days, participants engaged in discussions on various topics, including social welfare, domestic violence prevention, workforce development, and collaboration among government entities in social services. The role of social pedagogy in inclusive education and the importance of state standards in social work education were also explored.
The event concluded with a roundtable discussion on standardizing educational documentation for social work training in Kyrgyzstan, resulting in a collective resolution.
Nurzat Toktorbekova, head of the Department of Social Work, emphasized the university's commitment to knowledge exchange and professional development, drawing on its participation in international summer school programs.
