In the village of Kurbu Tash of Uzgen district, Osh State University’s project “Kurbu Tash Tokoy” saw the successful planting of 2,000 saplings of cherry, juniper, birch, and walnut trees. This endeavor is part of a larger plan to plant a total of 7,145 saplings throughout the year.

The initiative was organized under the umbrella of the business incubator project “Forest Nursery Kurbu-Tash Too”, in collaboration with the Aga Khan Foundation, the public fund “YugLes”, and the agricultural administration of Jalpak Tash.

Students from various faculties, including the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Tourism, and Agricultural Technologies, as well as the Institute of Mathematics, Physics, Technology, and Information Technology at Osh State University, along with students from the Uzgen Medical College, actively participated in the tree planting event.

This initiative is part of a larger nationwide project aimed at greening and expanding forest plantations.
