Delegation from American Austrian Foundation Visits OshSU for Partnership Discussions

A delegation from the American Austrian Foundation recently arrived at Osh State University, led by Professor Wolfgang Aulitzky, Director of the Open Medical Institute. Alongside him are Lola Asanalieva, the head of the public association “Open Medical Community,” and ophthalmologist Umar Isakov.

During a meeting with Osh State University’s rector, Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov, the delegation discussed enhancing collaboration in medical education and research, as well as organizing seminars and facilitating knowledge exchange among professionals.

The American Austrian Foundation, established in 1993, has played a significant role in fostering cooperation between medical professionals. Hosting seminars and providing accommodations, it has trained over 500 specialists, with Professor Wolfgang Aulitzky generously offering his housing for these events. The foundation covers all expenses, allowing doctors from 35 countries, including more than 30 from Osh State University, to participate in these programs.

Professor Wolfgang Aulitzky is set to visit the International Faculty of Medicine, the medical clinic at Osh State University, engage with specialists, deliver a guest lecture, and connect with graduates of the Open Medical Institute.

The partnership between Osh State University and the American Austrian Foundation, formalized in 2021 through a cooperation agreement, highlights their commitment to advancing medical education and research.
