Key Issues in Personnel Training for EAEU Integration Projects Discussed

An international conference “New challenges and ensuring technological sovereignty with qualified personnel” was held in Moscow, dedicated to ensuring technological sovereignty through the training of qualified personnel. The organizers of the event were the Consortium “Eurasian Professional School” and the Open Humanitarian Institute with the support of the Eurasian Economic Commission, the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Rossotrudnichestvo, Rosmolodezh, the Council for Financial, Industrial and Investment Policy of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, the Union of Directors of Secondary Educational Institutions of Russia, the Association development of financial literacy. 

The conference was held in the Main Digital Space of the Russian Economic University named after G.V. Plekhanov, where Consortium participants from Kyrgyzstan and various regions of Russia gathered, who discussed important issues of training workers for integration projects of the EAEU countries.

In his welcoming speech, Sergey Glazyev, member of the Board of the EEC for Integration and Macroeconomics, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, head of the Supreme Council of the Eurasian Professional School Consortium, emphasized the relevance of cooperation between educational organizations and employers in the EAEU space for the successful training of specialists. During the conference, issues were raised on eliminating obstacles to effective training of workers and developing staffing tools for integration projects of the EAEU countries. The problem of forecasting the need for qualified personnel in the future, identifying and disseminating best practices in the field of improving the system of education and training of workers, as well as training teachers and managers for vocational education were also discussed.

Veniamin Kaganov, Chairman of the Coordination Council of the Eurasian Professional School Consortium, speaking at the plenary session, focused on the problems of shortage of personnel with the required qualifications. To solve these problems, he emphasized the role of interdepartmental and international cooperation, joint efforts of the state and employers. At the same time, he especially noted the importance of the strong will of the participants in the process.

On behalf of Osh State University, the director of the department of secondary vocational education, associate professor Mamazhakyp uulu Chyngyzbek took part in the online conference. The management of Osh State University supports the initiative proposed during this conference to open a branch of Russian colleges on the basis of Osh State University, Kyrgyz Economic University and believes that such cooperation between universities included in the Consortium helps improve the quality of education and exchange of experience between students and lecturers. Such colleges will be able to offer educational programs tailored to the needs of the labor market of both countries to ensure the training of qualified specialists.
