Munarbek Seyitbek, Esteemed OshSU Graduate, to Compete for Gold Medal
Boxer Munarbek Seyitbek uulu competed in the semifinal of the Paris Olympic Games.
The Kyrgyz boxer faced his opponent from Bulgaria, Javier Ibanez Diaz, and advanced to the final. Munarbek Seyitbek uulu will now compete for the gold medal.
In the round of 16, Munarbek Seyitbek uulu defeated Cuban boxer Orta Rodriguez Del Rey Saidel Ivan in the 57 kg weight category and moved on to the quarterfinals. In the next stage, he overcame American Jamal Harvey to reach the semifinal.
Munarbek Seyitbek uulu is a five-time champion of Kyrgyzstan, a bronze medalist at the World Student Championship, a bronze medalist at the World Championship, and a bronze medalist at the Asian Championship.
