Osh State University has launched a three-month program titled “Osh State University - the Center of the State Kyrgyz Language” in celebration of Kyrgyz Language Day. This initiative was announced during a literary and musical evening marking the 35th anniversary of the Kyrgyz Republic’s Law “On the State Kyrgyz Language” and the 100th anniversary of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Oblast’s establishment.
Vice-Rector for State Language and Social Work, Mastura Sharipova, shared that the program will feature various events across the university’s departments aimed at promoting the Kyrgyz language, exploring the nation’s history, and preserving and spreading the customs, traditions, and national values of the Kyrgyz people.
The event was attended by prominent figures such as Nurlan Zakirov, head of the social development department at Osh City Hall, Rector Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov, as well as university lecturers and students. The evening featured performances by a folk instrument ensemble, a choir, and young talents from Osh State University.
