Oxford University Professor Hosts Scientific Seminar at OshSU
Oxford University Professor Troy Sternberg held a scientific and methodological seminar at Osh State University on October 12, where he introduced postgraduate students to his guide, translated into Kyrgyz, titled “Creating a Scientific Article and Bringing It to the International Audience.” The guide was designed to assist young researchers.
During the seminar, Sternberg conducted a training session focused on the process of creating scientific articles, gathering and analyzing data, and managing literature and references. He also explained the procedures for submitting articles to international scientific journals included in the Scopus database. The attendees had the opportunity to ask questions and receive guidance.
OshSU provided Sternberg with information about university’s participation in the “QS University World Ranking”, and awarded him an honorary diploma, in recognition of his contribution.
Troy Sternberg, a professor at the School of Geography and the Environment at Oxford University, is known for his research on the deserts of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Mongolia.
