A forum on the role of the state Kyrgyz language in universities is taking place today at the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after Iskhak Razzakov in Bishkek. The event features the participation of Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Education and Science, Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva, the Chairman of the National Commission on the State Language and Language Policy, Melis Murataliev, as well as university leaders and representatives of educational organizations.
Mastura Sharipova, Vice-Rector for State Language and Social Work at Osh State University, presented a report titled “On the Position of the State Language in Universities,” addressing issues such as teaching, office work in Kyrgyz, and level-based language teaching technologies at Osh State University.
Participants are discussing various aspects of Kyrgyz language usage and instruction in universities, including the development of necessary educational materials and improving teacher qualifications. Recommendations will be developed based on the forum’s conclusions.
