Today, on October 24, Osh State University hosted a scientific and practical seminar focused on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). During the training, participants were informed about the 17 goals and 169 tasks that the global community aims to achieve over the next 15 years. These objectives address issues such as poverty, inequality, social integration, climate change, and ensuring resources for a better future.
The session was led by Taasilkan Dzhumabaeva, head of the Department of General, Clinical Biochemistry, and Pathophysiology. She emphasized the importance of individual contributions toward implementing the SDGs and discussed how these efforts can bring positive changes to society.
She also referenced the historic commitment made on September 25, 2015, when 193 UN member states pledged to work towards the SDGs, formalized in the document “Transforming our world: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.”
