Personnel Changes at Osh State University
Due to a transfer to a new role, Nurlan Omurov has stepped down from his position as Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs. By order of the Rector dated December 2, 2024, Ruslan Arapbaev has been appointed as his successor.
Additionally, Elzarbek Esharov has been named the new Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and Innovation, filling the vacant position.
Background Information:
- Ruslan Arapbaev has served as Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and Innovation since 2022. His prior roles at OshSU include leading the Educational and Information Department, heading the Department of External Relations, and serving as Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs in the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technology. He holds the title of Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences and is an Associate Professor.
- Elzarbek Esharov, a graduate of OshSU’s Faculty of Physics, Mathematics, and Information Technology, has held academic positions at OshSU, Tomsk State University, Tomsk University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, KSU named after Arabaev, BSU named after Karasaev, and KNU named after J. Balasagyn. He is also a Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences and an Associate Professor.
