Aitmatov Readings Held in Bishkek
The International Scientific and Practical Forum “Aitmatov Readings – 2024” is taking place on December 3-4 at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.
The event is jointly organized by the Moscow State Linguistic University and the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after B.N. Yeltsin, with support from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
The forum brings together researchers, academics, young scientists, literature teachers, and representatives of public and youth organizations from across the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
A notable presentation, “Ch.T. Aitmatov and the Cinematography of the Kyrgyz Republic,” was delivered by PhD and Associate Professor D.A. Asanova from Osh State University. Her report highlighted Chingiz Aitmatov’s pivotal contribution to the development of Kyrgyz cinematography.
The forum aims to comprehensively explore the creative legacy of Chingiz Aitmatov, fostering greater cooperation among CIS countries in education, research, and youth development initiatives.
