About the “National Scholarship”

The “National Scholarship” is one of Kyrgyzstan’s most prestigious awards for university students. It recognizes individuals who demonstrate academic excellence, independence, active participation in public life, and commitment to their studies. Recipients often gain international exposure, advancing their skills in science, education, and professional development.

Scholarship candidates are selected through the “Best Student of OshSU” competition, conducted in two stages: faculty-level and university-level assessments.

This scholarship has been awarded for over a decade, providing recipients with $100 per month, totaling $1,200 annually. The funding comes from a professor, doctor of science, and philanthropist who has long been associated with OshSU. Since its inception in 2012, 55 students have been honored with this scholarship.
