Osh State University hosted its annual awards ceremony, titled “Idea, Effort, Result,” to honor the top-performing students of the year.
Students from the Institute of Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, and Information Technologies received recognition for securing first place in cybersports, a hackathon, and robotics competitions at the IT FEST 2024 “CYBER KYRGYSTAN” festival. Additionally, awards were given to participants who excelled in the “G-Face” and “ZN Inclusive” startup projects.
The Institute of History and Law students, who were finalists in the Eurasian Project School, and students from the Industrial-Pedagogical College, who earned accolades at the first republican “World Skill’s Kyrgyzstan” championship and intercollegiate contests like “Fashion Hackathon Kyrgyzstan” and “Eco-Fashion Kyrgyzstan” organized by the Textile Development Center, were also recognized.
Medical students distinguished themselves at the “Samarkand-2020” International Olympiad and teams “Girls Style” and “Zharatmandar” received awards for earning four stars in the republican round of the Shayir Tavkychtar Club.
Sports achievements were another highlight of the event. The women’s volleyball club of Osh State University was celebrated for winning the President’s Cup three times and the republican volleyball championship twice. The men’s volleyball club was honored for its victory in the country’s volleyball championship and its three-time President’s Cup triumph. The university’s Futsal Club, the national futsal cup champions, and students excelling in boxing, stick fighting, Greco-Roman wrestling, and other sports also received awards.
Certificates of appreciation and cash prizes were presented to all honorees, acknowledging their outstanding contributions to the university’s success.
