Students now have the opportunity to earn diplomas from both Osh State University and Bashkir State Medical University.
The working visit of Osh State University’s delegation, led by Rector Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov, to Bashkortostan is ongoing. On February 11-12, they visited Bashkir State Medical University.
During a meeting with the university’s rector, Valentin Pavlov, an agreement was signed to introduce a dual-degree program in a 2+2 format. Under this arrangement, medical faculty students across all specialties will receive diplomas from both institutions after completing their studies at both universities.
The discussion also covered collaborative educational initiatives, academic mobility for faculty and students, as well as joint educational and research projects.
The delegation from Osh State University toured the academic buildings, clinics, and research laboratories of Bashkir State Medical University. They observed robotic surgeries being performed on patients and explored research centers specializing in pharmacy, pharmacology, microbiology, biochemistry, and histology. Additionally, they familiarized themselves with the educational process at the Faculty of Pharmacy.
Currently, Osh State University offers dual-degree programs in 22 specialties. A previous agreement with Ural Medical University was established for the 2021-2022 academic year. Notably, Osh State University was the first university in Kyrgyzstan to implement such a project in medical field.
