On March 5, Osh State University hosted a training session titled “Social Model of Disability: Rights, Empowerment, Inclusion,” attended by faculty and staff from higher educational institutions in Osh.

The session was led by Gulmira Kazakunova, chairperson of the public fund “Equality,” who provided insights into the rights of people with disabilities, proper communication etiquette, and research on disability-related issues. Participants engaged in group activities and discussions, and upon completion, received certificates.

The training aimed to enhance awareness among university staff and educators regarding disability issues. Additionally, it sought to support the implementation of national disability legislation by promoting a socio-legal approach.
