Celebration of the 225th Anniversary of Alymbek Datka
On 11 September, events dedicated to the 225th anniversary of Alymbek Datka began at the Y. Zhamankulov House of Culture in the Alai District. Osh State University, together with the Osh Regional Administration, organised a ceremonial event titled “The Place and Role of Alymbek Datka in the History of Kyrgyzstan and the Formation of Statehood.”
The event was attended by the Chairman of the Supreme Court, Mederbek Satiev, the President’s Plenipotentiary Representative in the Osh Region, Elchibek Jantaev, members of the Jogorku Kenesh, historians, scholars, public figures, and descendants of Alymbek Datka.
As part of the celebration, an exhibition of national crafts created by students and teachers was held. The university is also participating in the “Best Yurt” competition.
