The results of the QS Asia University Rankings 2026 have been published. According to the rankings, 1,526 universities from across Asia took part this year, including 550 new entrants.
The study involved 1.5 million academic experts and around 520,000 employers. In total, 19.8 million articles published on the Elsevier platform were analyzed making this one of the most comprehensive university assessments in the world. In 2026, 73 universities from Central Asia participated in the QS ranking.
Among them, Osh State University ranked 22nd. This remarkable achievement enhances the university’s prestige in the region and demonstrates its alignment with international standards, including participation in indexed publications, data transparency, and maintaining a high level of global academic excellence.

Compared to last year’s QS Asia 2025 ranking (30.0 points), Osh State University achieved a total of 39.9 points in 2026. The main criteria that showed significant improvement were academic reputation, employer reputation, the proportion of international faculty, and the quality of teaching staff, all of which increased by six points compared to 2025.
As a result, Osh State University outperformed 79.4% of Asian universities, compared to 73.8% last year.
