Researchers and graduate students from the Institute of Natural Sciences, Physical Education, Tourism, and Agricultural Technologies at Osh State University - including Associate Professor Orunbek Kolanov, Bolot Karimov, Ainazik Boronbaeva, Orozbai Mamatkulov, Aida Dursunbaeva, Fatima Matkarimova, and Zhazgul Abdyrakhmanova - took part in the international scientific and practical conference “Prospects and Challenges of Botanical Science Development in Uzbekistan,” dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the distinguished botanist V. Makhmudov.
At the plenary session, Associate Professor Orunbek Kolanov delivered a report titled “Flora Diversity in Kyrgyzstan.” Other participants from Osh State University presented their research in breakout sessions of the conference.
As part of the academic mobility program, the researchers also delivered guest lectures to students of Fergana State University. Master’s and doctoral students had the opportunity to attend these lectures and engage in discussions with the visiting faculty.
During the visit, prospects for future collaboration with relevant departments of several Uzbek universities were also discussed.
