Osh State University hosted its traditional Student Initiation Ceremony, welcoming newly admitted students across all institutes, faculties, and colleges. The event brought together the university administration, department heads, faculty members, and students.
During the ceremony, university leaders addressed the incoming students, emphasizing the importance of adhering to internal regulations, maintaining academic integrity, and upholding high moral and ethical values. The program also included a musical and artistic performance prepared specifically for the occasion.
Osh State University today comprises eight institutes, four faculties, one graduate school, a postgraduate medical education center, eight secondary vocational colleges, and four lyceums. Each year, around 1,000 master’s students and 1,500 faculty members participate in academic mobility and exchange programs with universities in 33 countries. These opportunities are made possible through international programs such as Erasmus+, Mevlana, ITEC, DAAD, Orkhun, SHKUU, the Osh Declaration, and various bilateral cooperation agreements.
For the 2025–2026 academic year, Osh State University has admitted more than 14,000 students across its higher education, secondary vocational, and master’s programs, marking another significant step in the university’s growth and commitment to high-quality education.
