On December 2, Osh State University signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Swiss-funded project “Cheber: Skills Development in Kyrgyzstan,” implemented by Helvetas Swiss Intercooperation.
The signing ceremony was attended by Project Manager Christian Wagner, international education expert Hans Schustereder, and Osh region project coordinator Gulzhamal Chokmorova. From Osh State University, the event was attended by Rector Kudaiberdi Kojobekov, Vice Rector for External Relations Kursantbek Attokurov, Director of the University Business Park Erlan Kamalov, and heads of relevant departments.
The memorandum outlines collaboration in several key areas, including:
development of short-term, practical, and inclusive educational programs;
training of trainers;
support for innovative and startup initiatives among young people.
Under the agreement, both parties will work together to enhance the quality of education, certify teachers, introduce self-assessment mechanisms, and develop short-term courses in the textile and clothing industries, construction, agriculture, and green skills. The partnership will also promote internships, practical training opportunities, and career development support for students and graduates.
