New Year’s Greeting From the Rector of Osh State University Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov
Dear compatriots,
Dear faculty members, staff, and students of Osh State University!
I sincerely congratulate you on the upcoming New Year 2026 — a year that sets new goals before us and strengthens our hope and confidence in the future.
The outgoing year has been productive both for our country and for Osh State University. Significant support was provided to the fields of education, science, and sports, enabling our youth to achieve notable success at national and international levels.
By the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, Osh State University was granted a special status and expanded institutional autonomy. This has created favorable conditions for advancing the educational process, research activities, and governance to a new qualitative level. On this basis, the University’s Sustainable Development Plan for 2023–2026 is being successfully implemented.
In 2025, Osh State University demonstrated strong performance in the QS Asia 2026 ranking, entering the ranks of leading universities in Central Asia. International cooperation continues to expand, along with the development of dual-degree and dual-education programs. The University also entered the Top 1500 universities worldwide according to the QS Sustainability Ranking.
A number of large-scale construction projects have been implemented to improve students’ learning conditions. The “Iman” Lyceum has been fully renovated and put into operation, and the kindergarten has been upgraded. Construction of a medical clinic, polyclinic, and a modern student dormitory is currently underway.
I would like to emphasize that all these achievements are the result of your dedication, support, and teamwork.
May the New Year 2026 bring peace, unity, and prosperity to our people. May happiness reign in every home, and may health, success, and a bright future accompany you all.
