Teachers of the Russian Philology Department of the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication visited the Samarkand State Pedagogical Institute in Uzbekistan on March 2–6 as part of the academic mobility program.
During the visit, Professor Gulipa Madmarova delivered lectures on “General Linguistics,” Associate Professor Dilaram Madaminova taught “History of Foreign Literature,” while senior lecturers Damira Osmonkulova and Chinara Tokurov conducted classes on the “Practical Course of the Russian Language” and literature for 1st–4th year students. Both lecture and practical sessions were held.
The teachers also attended open classes and several events organized by the faculty of Samarkand State Pedagogical Institute and held meetings to exchange professional experience.
During the meetings, the parties discussed expanding cooperation between the two institutions. In particular, they considered implementing a dual-degree master’s program in the 1+1 format in Russian language and literature, developing academic mobility for teachers and students, organizing guest lectures, and holding joint educational events.
In addition, during a meeting with the Rector of Samarkand State Pedagogical Institute, Shahzoda Negmatova, further expansion of academic and scientific cooperation between the two higher education institutions was discussed.
The visit was organized to enhance the professional development of teachers and to strengthen international cooperation.
