Elnura Kudayberdieva’s story “Tash Ochok” won second place in a national contest for young writers organized by the National Writers’ Union of Kyrgyzstan.
The prize included 25,000 soms and a special diploma. The story depicts human fate through a simple stone hearth, exploring lost values, regret, and hope.
The award ceremony was held on March 19 at Kyrgyz National University during a conference celebrating writer Abdilamit Matisakov’s 70th birthday.
