On May 13, the Finance and Law College of Osh State University celebrated the 20th anniversary of its establishment.

The anniversary event brought together the university administration, teachers, staff, students, graduates, veterans, and representatives of vocational colleges from southern Kyrgyzstan. Rector Kudayberdi Kozhobekov spoke about the college’s history, achievements, and role in the education sector. He noted that over the past 20 years, the college has trained thousands of qualified specialists for the fields of finance, economics, and law. He also highlighted ongoing efforts to improve the quality of education and create modern learning conditions.

During the celebration, teachers and staff members who contributed to the college’s development were honored with awards and certificates of appreciation. Sports competitions, cultural evenings, experience-sharing events, a concert program, and exhibitions reflecting the college’s 20-year history were also organized.

The Finance and Law College was opened in the 2004–2005 academic year within OshSU’s Faculty of Extramural Legal Education and admitted its first students in the Law specialty. In 2006, it became an independent college. Today, more than 3,500 students study in such fields as economics and accounting, finance, banking, taxation, law, law enforcement, documentation management and archival studies, and commodity expertise.
