Two liver transplant operations have been successfully performed at the Medical Center of Osh State University.
The operations were carried out on two residents of Osh Region, aged 50 and 59. The donor for one patient was her 20-year-old daughter, while the donor for the other patient was his 35-year-old son.
Due to their complexity, each operation lasted approximately 12 hours. Thanks to the professionalism and coordinated efforts of the medical team, both operations were successfully completed.
The patients are currently in moderately serious condition. They are receiving the necessary treatment and remain under medical supervision. The patients are expected to stay at the medical center for approximately 30 days.
It is worth noting that nine organ transplant operations have been performed at the OshSU Medical Center in 2026. This brings the total number of transplant operations performed at the center to 11. In addition, eight more operations are planned for September and October.
The first liver transplant operation in southern Kyrgyzstan was successfully performed at OshSU in 2025. The introduction of such complex procedures at the center is contributing to the adoption of modern medical technologies and enabling patients to receive highly qualified medical care.
