Osh State University and MediaHub have launched monthly training sessions for students interested in journalism.

The project aims to develop young people’s practical skills, help them learn from professional journalists, and prepare them for their future careers. The training began on October 19 and is organized in collaboration with the team of MediaHub founder Ali Toktakunov. Students studying journalism, film studies, and media linguistics are taking part.

During the training sessions, students learn the fundamentals of journalism, investigative journalism, and fact-checking. They also learn to identify topics of public interest and gain practical experience in preparing journalistic materials.

OshSU Rector Kudayberdi Kozhobekov encouraged students to make the most of this opportunity, deepen their knowledge, and develop professionally. The first session was led by journalist Asel Shamilova, who introduced students to MediaHub’s activities, main areas of work, and the specifics of preparing journalistic materials.

As part of the project, one active participant will be selected for an opportunity to work as MediaHub’s journalist in Osh. This will help young people gain professional experience and begin their careers.

The cooperation between OshSU and MediaHub aims to combine theoretical knowledge with practical experience, develop young journalists’ professional skills, and prepare qualified specialists for the media industry.
