On June 15, Osh State University and China Chjezyang University of Science and Technology struck an agreement to establish the Lu Ban Institute in Kyrgyzstan. The ceremony was attended by Kudayberdi Kozhobekov, Rector of Osh State University, and Chen Siyanming, Rector of Chjezyang Scientific and Technical University.

During the conference, the rector of Chjezyang Science and Technical University mentioned that the Lu Ban Institute's opening in Kyrgyzstan was also discussed during President Sadyr Japarov's official visit to China on February 6. Siyanming emphasized that specialist training in the field of information technology (IT) is a current requirement.

The launch of the institute, according to the rector of Osh State University, will significantly help to the training of experts in the fields of information technology and engineering in Kyrgyzstan. The Kyrgyz-Chinese faculty at Osh State University wholeheartedly supports this proposal and is ready to put it into action.

Lu Ban Institute has locations in various countries across the world and collaborates with Chinese and foreign universities to teach scientific and technical expertise.
