Universiade: OshSU Wins Second Place in Athletics
At the Republican Universiade‑2026 held in Bishkek, the men’s and women’s teams of Osh State University won second place in athletics in the top league overall team standings.
The university’s athletes won five silver and five bronze medals. The team was trained by Almazbek Kazibekov and Alymkan Zhamshitbekova.
The overall team results in athletics were:
1st place – Kyrgyz State Academy of Physical Culture and Sports
2nd place – Osh State University
3rd place – Kyrgyz National University
The Universiade-2026 is being held from March 11 to April 27 across 15 sports.
