Osh State University hosted a project competition for students from higher education institutions in Osh on September 23 in honor of the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of the State Language Law. The topic of the competition was “New Information Technologies and State Language.”

Students submitted their startup projects at the competition. The outcome has been the submission of three startup projects from Osh State University, three from Osh Technical University, and three from the Sydykov Kyrgyz-Uzbek International University.

These initiatives include IT programs created in the Kyrgyz language as well as state language teaching methodologies and state language usage in digitization.

Mastura Sharipova, the vice-rector for state language and social affairs at Osh State University, Nurlan Zakirov, the director of the Osh city department of social development, as well as professors and students, were present at the event.

Aydai Chilaeva, a student at Osh State University’s Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technologies, earned first place with her project “Robot Waitress”, while Bektur Anarbayev, an OshTU student, received second place with his project “State Language and Globalization”. The Sydykov Kyrgyz-Uzbek International University teacher Begay Baiyeva’s project “Development of the State Language Using Innovative Technologies” took third place.

The best project owners will be presented with gifts at an event to be held on September 23 at the Osh City Hall.

The State Language Law’s 33rd anniversary is being commemorated at OshSU with three-month announcement and events.

Additionally, on the campus of Osh State University, a “Exhibition of new techniques of teaching the Kyrgyz language” was conducted on September 14.
