The III Forum of University Rectors from Kyrgyzstan and Russia will be held at OshSU
On October 13, 2023, the III Forum of University Rectors from Kyrgyzstan and Russia will be held in the main premises of Osh State University.
The forum will bring together leaders from pertinent ministries and more than 100 university rectors from Russia and Kyrgyzstan.
The coordination of this event is provided by various organizations, including the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Association of Universities of the Kyrgyz Republic, Osh State University, the Russian Rectors' Union, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, and Lomonosov Moscow State University.
The goal of the forum is to discuss key directions of Kyrgyz-Russian inter-university cooperation in the fields of science and education, the formation of a common educational space, and the convergence of higher education systems in Kyrgyzstan and Russia within the framework of Eurasian integration.
The forum's primary focus is to encourage collaborative efforts between universities. This includes facilitating academic mobility programs for both students and faculty, creating and executing joint higher education programs, offering additional professional education opportunities through qualification enhancement and professional retraining programs, organizing youth forums, summer and winter schools, and a wide range of activities that promote educational and cultural integration.
Within the framework of the forum, the establishing of bilateral cooperation agreements is anticipated.
