On November 9, 2023, the first online session of the Coordination Council of the "Eurasian Professional School" consortium took place. The consortium currently includes the Kyrgyz Economic University, Osh State University, and the Russian Open Humanities Institute.
The meeting primarily focused on organizational matters. Dr. Veniamin Kaganov, a Doctor of Economics and Director-General of the Association for Financial Literacy Development, was elected as the Chairman of the Coordination Council. Dr. Marina Vasilieva, also a Doctor of Economics and Rector of the Russian Open Humanities Institute, was appointed as the Head of the Consortium Secretariat. Representing Osh State University in the Council are Rector Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov and Chyngyzbek Mamajakyp uulu, Director of the Department of Secondary Vocational Education.
Additionally, the participants engaged in discussions regarding the enhancement of teacher qualification, student academic mobility, and the development of educational programs for secondary vocational education.
A significant announcement during the meeting was the allocation of quotas for Kyrgyzstan students to study in Russian Federation secondary vocational educational institutions. This update was communicated by Kanymbek Azhekbayev, Deputy Director of the Department of Macroeconomic Policy of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
The consortium's meeting highlights a collaborative effort to enhance educational opportunities, facilitate professional development for educators, and promote student mobility within the Eurasian region. This initiative not only emphasizes cooperation between educational institutions but also underscores the commitment to fostering educational excellence and cooperation across borders.
