On December 23rd, a ceremony for the awarding of presidential scholarships took place in Bishkek, where President Sadyr Japarov presented scholarships of 60,000 soms each to the top 75 students in the country.
Five students from Osh State University (OshSU) were honored with this prestigious recognition: Aiperi Nurbek kyzy (Medical Faculty), Datkayym Ertabyldy kyzy (Faculty of MIT), Keneshbek Emilbek uulu (Physical-Technical Faculty), Saikal Nurmamatova (Faculty of World Languages and Cultures), and Miraida Cholponkul kyzy (Faculty of History and Social Work).
The selection of students was based on academic performance, achievements in science, sports, and participation in social and cultural activities during the 2022/2023 academic year.
In addition to the presidential scholarship, the best students at Osh State University have been receiving personal scholarships and scholarships from the university’s academic council since 2012. Personal scholarships are awarded to 10 students at a rate of $100 per month.
