“International Friendship Club” has commenced its activities at Osh State University

A decision has been made to establish the student association “International Friendship Club” at Osh State University. This decision was reached during the event titled “Meeting of Friends at OshSU,” organized by the Department of Work with Foreign Citizens and Consular Services of Osh State University in celebration of the New Year.

The gathering was attended by 38 foreign students recognized for their excellence in education and socio-cultural activities. These students hail from countries such as India, Pakistan, Russia, Uzbekistan, and others, pursuing their studies at OshSU.

The purpose of the Friends’ Meeting was to strengthen the bonds of friendship among international students, encouraging them to unite and actively participate in the university’s public affairs, thereby reinforcing unity and solidarity among diverse peoples.

Oljobay Toychubek uulu, the chairman of the Youth Committee of OshSU, who attended the meeting as a guest, acknowledged the worthwhile idea of establishing a club for foreign students. He proposed joint efforts to organize events and implement projects in the future.

Following the event, a decision was formalized to create the club, and students were presented with OshSU-branded gifts. A dinner was organized as part of the event, with support from the university’s trade union.
