Cultural Bonds Strengthened at Literary and Musical Event in Osh State University

The literary and musical event at Osh State University celebrated the deepening of cultural bonds between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. Held at the university premises, this noteworthy event honored the legacies of two eminent figures - Alisher Navoi and Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur.

Among the guests were the General Consul of Uzbekistan in Osh, Zafarbek Ahmedov, the renowned writer and academician of the International Academy of Chingiz Aitmatov, Zuhridin Isamiddinov, representatives of the “Uzbekistan-Kyrgyzstan” foundation and members of the university community.

Rector Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov emphasized the importance of cultural ties between the two countries and Osh State University’s active collaboration with Uzbek educational institutions.

During the event, speeches were delivered on the significance of Navoi and Babur in Kyrgyz literature and the importance of friendship between the two peoples. At the end of the event, classical songs were performed by M. Babur Uzbek Drama Theater Group.
