Osh State University has concluded its prestigious vocal competition, the “Golden Voice”, dedicated to commemorating the university’s 85th anniversary.
The national-level competition featured 12 students who had passed rigorous selection processes in various universities across the country. The vocal abilities of the participants were evaluated by a distinguished jury led by People’s Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic, Kerim Turapov.
After an intense competition, the third place was awarded to Manshuk Toksonbaeva, a student of the Osh State Music School. The second place was clinched by Meerim Tilebaldyeva from Arabaev Kyrgyz State University and Aigerim Kanatbekova from Skryabin Kyrgyz Agrarian University. The coveted first place was shared by Bayaman Sonunbekov from Kyrgyz State University of Culture and Arts named after Beyshenaliev and Aruuke Kubatbekova from Osh State University.
The winners and active participants of the competition were honored with Certificates of Merit from OshSU and cash prizes.
Nurzhamal Mapaeva, Vice-Rector for Student Affairs and Youth Policy at OshSU, highlighted the competition’s significance, stating that it aimed to nurture and stimulate the creative abilities of students, foster patriotic sentiments, and strengthen friendship and unity within the student community.
The celebratory events marking the 85th anniversary of Osh State University will take place at the university’s main campus and the city stadium on May 31, 2024.
