Saltanat Alisher kyzy, a candidate of historical sciences and an associate professor at the Institute of History and Law of Osh State University, participated in an international archaeological expedition organized by the French National Research Center (CNRS) and the International Institute “ZooStan.”
The expedition was led by Dr. William Rendu, director of the “ZooStan” laboratory, and included scientists from France, Italy, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan.
The mission of the expedition was to investigate a Middle Paleolithic site known as Che-Pino, located near Jonzac, France. This site is of particular interest due to its remarkable preservation, with both archaeological and paleofaunal materials remaining intact. Among the significant discoveries were Neanderthal hunting tools and the remains of animals.
