Osh State University Hosts “Poets Among Us” Poetry Evening
On October 17, Osh State University hosted a poetry evening titled “Poets Among Us,” featuring university faculty members.
Participants included Gulbadan Matieva, a professor at the Institute of Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, and Information Technology; Satkanbai Momunaliev, a professor from the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communications; Maralbek Oskonbaev, head of the Department of Experimental and Theoretical Physics; Chyngyzbek Mamazhakyp uulu, director of the Department of Secondary Vocational Education; Bermet Zakirova, a Kyrgyz language instructor; Rakhima Baimatova and Omurbek Zhaparov, lecturers from the Institute of Natural Science, Physical Culture, Tourism, and Agricultural Technologies; and Mairambek Umarov from the Medical College.
They presented their poetry, accompanied by musical performances based on the lecturers’ poems.
The event was organized by Vice-Rector for Student and Youth Affairs, Nurzhamal Mapaeva, along with Duishonbok Bektemir uulu, head of the creative center “Zhiger.” Similar events are planned to continue, aiming to promote poetry and foster the creative talents of both teachers and students.
