Osh State University is hosting the XXXII Spartakiad for its faculty and staff. The event brings together teams from the rector’s office, institutes, faculties, colleges, and lyceums, with participants divided into categories for those under and over 40 years old.
The Spartakiad, taking place throughout December, features competitions in eight sports. Early results have already been announced. In the team events, the Institute of Economics, Business, and Management secured first place, followed by the STEM College in second, and the Institute of Natural Sciences, Physical Education, Tourism, and Agricultural Technologies in third.
For women over 40 in volleyball, the Medical College claimed first place, with the Industrial and Pedagogical College and the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication taking second and third places, respectively.
In the men’s basketball category for participants over 40, the Institute of Economics, Business, and Management emerged victorious, with the Faculty of Medicine finishing second and the Institute of Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, and Information Technologies securing third place.
Competitions in other sports are ongoing. Winners will be awarded cups, medals, and cash prizes by the rector’s office and the professional association.
