Osh State University recently concluded a three-month program dedicated to celebrating the State Language Day. The initiative, titled “Osh State University – the Home of the State Language,” culminated on December 19 with a special event at the university, featuring an evening program called “Distinguished Graduates at Osh State University.”
The event welcomed several esteemed alumni, including Saltanat Amanova, head of the Osh City Education Department; Atabek Zhumaliev, director of the Osh Interregional United Clinical Hospital; Kerimbek Kalygulov, director of the Osh National Drama Theater named after Sultan Ibraimov; and Abai-Nur Bolshevikov, director of the Osh City Landscaping and Greening Farm Complex. The guests highlighted their efforts to promote the state language within their respective fields.
Vice-Rector for State Language and Social Affairs, Mastura Sharipova, shared that the program featured numerous activities across various levels of the university, including institutes, faculties, colleges, and lyceums. These events focused on themes such as statehood, national values, Kyrgyz history, traditions, and the culture of speech and writing. Employees who excelled in supporting the development of the state language during these events were recognized with awards.
