Approximately 150 school teachers from Osh and the southern region gathered to participate in a pedagogical training aimed at enhancing functional literacy, integrating new technologies and modern teaching methods, strengthening collaboration with employers, and preparing students for the Kyrgyz State Examination.
The event, titled “Current Issues in Teaching the Kyrgyz Language and Literature,” took place on April 19 at the Institute of Philology and Intercultural Communication of Osh State University. Renowned scholars and experienced educators shared insights on teaching Kyrgyz as a second language and applying cognitive linguistics principles in native language instruction.
Participants also explored the integration of innovative teaching strategies, digital technologies, and assessment systems.
A master class was conducted, showcasing creative approaches to teaching Kyrgyz language and literature using crafts inspired by fairy tales and isotherapy techniques.
The event concluded with a review of the sectional sessions and the adoption of a resolution. The document outlined specific recommendations for enhancing the quality of Kyrgyz language and literature education and highlighted the need for continued collaboration in the education sector. Service agreements were signed between school principals, vocational lyceum leaders, and the university’s institute.
