On June 21, Osh State University signed agreements with the Chinese company Shuangtan Energy Technology to implement two large-scale infrastructure initiatives. The signing ceremony was attended by the company’s CEO Li Yipo and the university’s Rector, Kudaiberdi Kozhobekov.

Under the agreements, the Chinese partner will invest in the installation of advanced solar panel systems and the modernization of the university's heating infrastructure.

The first project focuses on setting up a solar power generation system. This initiative will supply clean solar energy to the “Zirek” Primary Education Center and the “Bilim” Educational Complex, both affiliated with Osh State University.

The new solar technology is expected to deliver energy savings between 40% and 60%. Additionally, the heating systems will remain operational for up to 12 hours during winter, even during power outages.

The second project involves upgrading and managing the heating system at the Faculty of Medicine, located on the university’s Ak-Buura campus. The improved system will provide reliable heating and help reduce the university’s dependence on traditional energy sources.

Implementation of both projects is scheduled to begin in August and will span a 12-year period.
